Contact Form Data

If you use the contact form on this site, we collect the information you voluntarily provide (such as your message and any email address you choose to include). This information is stored securely and used only to respond to your enquiry. We do not share contact form submissions with third parties.

Cookies and Local Storage

We use browser local storage (not cookies) for two purposes:

  • Theme preference — remembering whether you have selected dark or light mode
  • Geo suggestion — recording whether you have dismissed the "Viewing from X?" country suggestion banner, so it does not reappear for 30 days

Neither of these stores any personally identifiable information. They are purely functional and are never shared with third parties.

2. Google AdSense and Third-Party Advertising

3. Cloudflare

This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages and uses Cloudflare's edge network for performance and security. Cloudflare may collect and process certain request data (including IP addresses) in accordance with their own Privacy Policy. We use Cloudflare's /cdn-cgi/trace endpoint to detect your country code, which is used solely to highlight your local gold price tile on the homepage and suggest the relevant country page. No personal data from this request is stored by us.

4. External APIs and Data Sources

Gold and silver price data is fetched from GoldAPI.io on the server side. Your browser never communicates directly with GoldAPI.io. Requests to /api/prices are handled by our Cloudflare Worker, which caches prices server-side. No personal data is transmitted to GoldAPI.io.

Price history charts are rendered entirely client-side using Chart.js, loaded from the jsDelivr CDN. jsDelivr may log CDN access requests in accordance with their own privacy policy.

5. No Sale of Personal Data

We do not sell, trade, or rent personally identifiable information to third parties. The only data shared with third parties is the anonymous, aggregated web analytics data described above, and advertising data managed by Google AdSense.

6. Data Retention

Contact form submissions are retained for up to 12 months, after which they are deleted from our storage. Server logs are retained by Cloudflare according to their own data retention schedule. Local storage data set in your browser persists until you clear your browser's site data.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights under applicable data protection law (such as GDPR for EEA residents or CCPA for California residents), including the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction or deletion of your personal data
  • Object to or restrict processing of your data
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

8. Children's Privacy
