Includes `pricing` block (`importDuty`, `vat`, `dealerMargin`, `correctionFactor`, `effectiveDate`, `source`), `meta` block (`xauUsd`, `xagUsd`, `goldSilverRatio`, `fxRate`), and `history` arrays (`history.gold[].{date, k21}` and `history.silver[].{date, silverPerGram}` in local currency for charting). Gold and silver karat/purity entries include a `change` field (% delta vs prior day, omitted on first day — never hardcoded `0`). Nepal and Pakistan use an ad valorem approximation of a specific duty (accurate within ~3% at current spot).

## How Prices Are Calculated

Retail price formula (compounded): `(spot_USD/oz ÷ 31.1035) × fxRate × karatRatio × (1 + importDuty) × (1 + vat) × (1 + dealerMargin) × correctionFactor`. `correctionFactor` (default 1.0) closes the residual gap between theoretical compounded markup and observed local-market retail; configured per-country per-metal in `data/pricing-config.json`. Rates are sourced from official government publications per country. Full methodology described above. Source data: GoldAPI.io for XAU/USD and XAG/USD spot; open.er-api.com for FX rates. Country tax/duty/margin rates sourced from official government publications and stored in `data/pricing-config.json`. Updated when tax law changes.
